Firefox Mobile untuk Android Bocor di Facebook

Jakarta - Browser internet Firefox Mobile nampaknya akan hadir tak lama lagi di platform sistem operasi Android. Pasalnya, kehadiran browser untuk ponsel yang punya nama Fennec ini, telah bocor di Facebook.

Saat disambangi detikINET, Senin (1/3/2010) pada grup Facebook untuk Firefox Mobile ini terdapat dua buah screenshot Fennec yang berjalan pada Nexus One serta Motorola Droid.

Seperti diketahui sebelumnya, pada Juni 2009, eksekutif Mozilla--perusahaan pembesut Firefox--pernah menyatakan bahwa Fennec tidak akan dikembangkan di Android, karena tidak adanya dukungan SDK (software development kit) dari Google. Namun setelah Android SDK keluar, hal tersebut berubah.

Selama ini, Mozilla memang hanya menjalankan Firefox versi mobile pada Windows Mobile serta Nokia Maemo platform. Jika nantinya Fennec hadir di Android, Windows Mobile, dan Maemo platform, apakah selanjutnya juga akan beroperasi di iPhone?

"Kita tak akan membuang waktu dan energi, karena kita yakin Apple pasti akan memblokirnya. Lebih baik kita mengembangkan proyek ini (hanya) pada platform open source," papar Tristan Nitot, Presiden Mozilla wilayah Eropa, seperti dilansir PCWorld.

Motorola Devour specs: 3.1-inch screen, Android 1.6, MotorBLUR

Here we go with the phone formerly known as the Calgary, which we're expecting on Verizon anytime now. (Yes, that's a Droid in the picture above. We're told that's just a placeholder.) The biggies: Android 1.6 ( Donut ) with MotoBLUR . A 3.1-inch touchscreen (320x480). 3MP camera. Verizon is requiring a data plan, and the $350 early termination fee is in effect.
