Potensi Bisnis Konten Multimedia Capai Rp 11 Triliun

Jakarta - Peluang pasar konten multimedia dinilai sangat menjanjikan. Hal ini dilihat dari pertumbuhan pengguna ponsel yang sangat tinggi ditambah dengan infrastruktur teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) yang terus berkembang.


Peluang tersebut akan lebih fantastis lagi jika melihat potensi total bisnis konten multimedia di Indonesia yang dikatakan mencapai sekitar Rp 11 triliun.

"Kalau totalnya dari industri konten multimedia, angkanya mencapai Rp 11 triliun. Ini angka yang tidak kecil," ungkap Kasubdir Iklim Usaha, Direktorat Industri Telematika Kementrian Perindustrian, Warsito usai seminar RICE EXPO 2010 di auditorium PT INTI, Jalan Moch Toha, Bandung.

Cerahnya peluang bisnis konten multumedia ini pun turut menyeret ranah bisnis konten mobile yang juga diprediksi bakal booming pada 2010 ini.

Sebab, selain pengguna ponsel Tanah Air yang terus berlipat, para operator telekomunikasi juga semakin giat untuk membundling ponsel China.

Alhasil, dengan harga yang rata-rata lebih miring dari ponsel branded, ponsel China pun mampu memancing daya beli masyarakat kelas bawah untuk memiliki perangkat genggam.

"Diperkirakan (bisnis konten mobile-red.) akan melonjak hingga 100 persen dengan market revenue mencapai sekitar Rp 7 triliun," katanya.

Samsung Galaxy Tab revealed

If only there were more tablets in the world, you know? Samsung has heard the call, and truth be told they might have a nice crack at creating something desirable. The 7-inch Galaxy Tab (previously referred to as the S-Pad ), runs Android with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top (similar to the Galaxy S sitting next to it). According to the Tweets by Samsung Blog South Africa -- an odd place indeed to make this sort of unveiling -- it has a "high resolution" screen, and it's supposed to be AMOLED if an earlier leak on the "S-Pad" is to be believed. That S-Pad info also mentioned a Samsung Apps store, which would make sense because as far as we know Google isn't letting "official" Android Market-equipped, Google-blessed tablets out of the gate just yet.
