Pusat Aplikasi Pertama Buat Pelanggan Seluler

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Operator seluler PT Telkomsel meluncurkan toko aplikasi yang dirancang untuk ponsel para pelanggannya dengan nama AppZone. Saat ini layanan tersebut menawarkan lebih dari 2.000 aplikasi yang dapat diunduh langsung melalui ponsel.

"Platform AppZone menyediakan aplikasi-aplikasi yang menarik seperti games, hiburan, gaya hidup, bisnis," kata Direktur Utama Telkomsel, Sarwoto Atmosutarno, di sela Indonesia Cellular Show (ICS) 2010, di Jakarta Convention Center, Rabu (14/7/2010).

Menurutnya, untuk mengakses Telkomsel AppZone, pelanggan dapat mengakses http://appzone.telkomsel.com langsung dari ponsel, selanjutnya dapat memilih aplikasi berdasarkan kategori atau fitur.

Telkomsel menyatakan AppZone merupakan langkah nyata dalam mendukung kemajuan industri kreatif di Indonesia. "Kami terus mengembangkan fitur layanan dengan melibatkan para pengembang aplikasi lokal dan global untuk bergabung dalam Telkomsel AppZone," ujarnya.

Ia menjelaskan, jumlah aplikasi yang tersedia akan terus ditambah. Tahun ini Telkomsel menargetkan kerjasama dengan 1.000 content provider untuk mengembangkan berbagai aplikasi dibutuhkan masyarakat.

Dengan harga terjangkau, Telkomsel AppZone ini sangat mudah dan nyaman digunakan, karena tampilan aplikasi akan disesuaikan dengan tipe ponsel pelanggan. Semua proses pengunduhan dan akses ke Telkomsel AppZone tetap dikenakan biaya akses GPRS atau menggunakan paket Telkomsel Flash. Layana one stop application store ini dapat diakses 88 juta pelanggan Telkomsel saat ini.

Motorola Devour specs: 3.1-inch screen, Android 1.6, MotorBLUR

Here we go with the phone formerly known as the Calgary, which we're expecting on Verizon anytime now. (Yes, that's a Droid in the picture above. We're told that's just a placeholder.) The biggies: Android 1.6 ( Donut ) with MotoBLUR . A 3.1-inch touchscreen (320x480). 3MP camera. Verizon is requiring a data plan, and the $350 early termination fee is in effect.
